The RGA220Z is an RGA series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2010. It is part of the handcrafted-in-Japan Prestige line.
The RGA220Z features an arched-top mahogany body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez LoZ active humbucking pickups with Active EQ, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RGA220Z was among the first RGA models offered with a tremolo along with the RGA420Z (which is similar to the RG220Z but adds a flamed maple top) and the seven-string RGA427Z.
The RGA220Z was discontinued after 2011.

Active EQ[]
In place of the typical tone knob, the RGA220Z has an Active EQ system controlled with an Active EQ knob. This EQ allows for everything from a bass boost/treble cut to treble boost/bass cut in a sooth and natural curve.
