The RG9QM is a nine string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid-2014. Along with the RG90BKP Prestige, the RG9QM was the initial 9 string offering from Ibanez. It was produced in Indonesia.

The RG9QM features a quilted maple top on a basswood body bolted to a maple and bubinga Wizard-9 neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers and a 28" scale. Components include dual Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups, a Gibraltar Standard II-9 fixed bridge, and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut.

For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with jatoba and a maple and bubinga neck was replaced with a maple and walnut construction.

A version without the exotic quilted maple top, the RG9, was introduced in 2015. The RG8FM is a similar eight string model with a flamed maple top.

The RG9QM was discontinued after 2018.
