The RG970WFMZ is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2016. It was made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line.
The RG970WFMZ features a flamed maple top on an American basswood body bolted to a wenge and bubinga Wizard neck with a wenge fingerboard with binding and offset dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio IBZ pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Zero II double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS3Fe tuning stabilizer and a locking nut.
Similar models include the RG970WQMZ (quilted maple top and rosewood fretboard) and RG970WBWZ (walnut burl top and rosewood fretboard).
