The RG9670 is an RG series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2000. It is made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the exclusive J Custom line. It was introduced as the JCRG-4, but was renamed for 2001.
The RG9670 features neck-through construction with Honduran mahogany body wings with a flame maple top attached to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with flame maple binding and Tree of Life vine inlays. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG9570 is a very similar model with cosmo white hardware and offset dot position markers rather than the Tree of Life inlay. The RG8670 is another similar model without the neck-through construction and with violet chrome hardware.
The RG9670 was discontinued after 2002. A somewhat similar model with an Edge Zero tremolo, the RG9670Z was offered in 2009.
