The RG927Z is a seven-string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2012. It is made in Indonesia as part of the mid-grade Premium line. It is referred to as simply the RG927 in some materials.
The RG927Z features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard-7 Premium neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and offset dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarzio IBZ-7 humbucking pickups and an Edge Zero II-7 double locking tremolo bridge with removable ZPS tuning stabilizer and a locking nut.
The RG920Z is a six-string version. The RG927QMZ is a similar version with a quilted maple top while the RG927FXQM also has a fixed bridge.
The RG927Z was discontinued after 2013.
