The RG927QMZ is a seven-string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2011. It was produced in Indonesia as part of the mid-grade Premium line. The RG927QMZ is also referred to as the RG927QM, as the Z suffix is ignored for some models in promotional material, particularly in the US market.
The RG927QMZ features a quilted maple top on a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard 7 Premium neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and offset pearloid dot position markers. Components include a pair of DiMarzio IBZ-7 humbucking pickups, an Edge Zero II-7 double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS tuning stabilizer, a locking nut, and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
The the RG920QMZ is a six-string version. The RG927Z is a similar model without the quilted maple top and the RG927FXQM is a version with a fixed bridge.
