The RG9 is a nine string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2014. It was produced in Indonesia.

The RG9 features a basswood body bolted to a maple and bubinga Wizard-9 neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups, a Graph Tech TUSQ nut and a Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge. It has a 28" scale neck.

The RG9 is Ibanez third mass produced nine string offering following the RG9QM (which is distinguished from the RG9 only by its quilted maple top) and the RG90BKP Prestige, which were both introduced in 2014.

The RG9 was discontinued after 2016.
