The RG8570BB is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in November 2016. It was released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Japanese handcrafted J Custom series.[1] It was produced in Japan by FujiGen.
The RG8570BB features a buckeye burl top on a mahogany body bolted to a titanium-reinforced maple and walnut neck with Velvetouch treatement and a rosewood fingerboard with maple binding and Tree of Life inlays. Components include DiMarzio pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a Lo Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut, recessed Easy Access control knobs and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG8570MW is a similar model with a myrtle top on an ash body. The RG8570SP is another similar model with a spalted maple and walnut top. The RG8570Z is a related model with a flamed maple top on a mahogany body, an Edge Zero tremolo and cosmo black hardware. The RG8570ZXX is another related model with a curly maple top on a mahogany body and an Edge Zero tremolo.
Production of the RG8570BB was limited to just 20 units and ended in 2017.
