The RG852LW is an eight string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2014. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RG852LW features a limba wood top on a basswood body bolted to a maple and wenge Ultra-8 neck with a matching headstock and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a Gibraltar Standard II-8 fixed bridge, dual EMG active humbucking pickups and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG852 is a similar version withou the limba wood top. The RG852MPB is arelated model with a poplar burl top and DiMarzio pickups.
The RG852LW was discontinued after 2016.
