The RG8527 is a seven string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2023. It is produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high-end J Custom line. It replaced the RG8527Z which is a very similar guitar with an Edge Zero tremolo bridge.
The RG8527 features a flamed maple top and binding on an African mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced maple and wenge neck with Velvetouch treatment and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with flamed maple binding and Tree of Life inlays. Components include a pair of DiMarzio PAF 7 humbucking pickups, an Edge Zero 7 tremolo bridge with removable ZPS tuning stabilizer, an angled input jack, and Gotoh tuning machines.
For 2024 the bridge was changed from Edge Zero-7 tremolo to a Lo-Pro Edge 7 tremolo.
