The RG8520 is an RG series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2004. It is part of the Japanese handcrafted J Custom series. A substantially different model with the same name was produced in 2001 and 2002.

The RG8520 features a mahogany body with a flame maple top bolted to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with off-set dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarzio humbucking pickups, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut.

The RG8570 is a similar model which adds a middle pickup. The RG8527 is similar seven-string model.

The RG8520 was discontinued after 2004.
