The RG8520ZE is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2017. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high-end J Custom line. It was a spot model sold exclusively through Japanese retailer Ikebe Gakki.
The RG8520ZE features a 4mm thick exotic maple top with binding on an African mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with Tree of Life vine inlays. Components include an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS tuning stabilizer, dual EMG active humbucking pickups and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG8520 is a similar model with DiMarzio pickups while the RG8420ZD is a similar model with Seymour Duncan pickups. The RG8420ZE is a similar model which was offered previously.
