The RG8420ZD is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2008. It is made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high end J Custom line.

The RG8420ZD features a AAA flamed maple top with binding on an African mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced maple and walnut neck with Velvetouch treatment and a 24-fret selected rosewood fingerboard with flamed maple binding Tree of Life vine inlays. Components include recessed Easy Access control knobs, two Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and a removable ZPS tuning stabilizer and Gotoh tuning machines and strap locks.
