The RG8270F is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 2005. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the J Custom line.
The RG8270F features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard Prestige neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with Tree of Life vine inlays. Components include DiMarzio pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Gotoh machine heads.
The RG8170F is a similar model with small abalone dot position markers in place of the RG8270F's Tree of Life inlays.
The RG8270F was sold in Japan as well as in Europe. It was replaced by the RG8470F for 2006 with a new neck shape.
