The RG770QM is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1993. It was made in Japan by FujiGen and was a spot model which never appeared in a catalog. It has also been referred to as the RG7CTQM.
The RG770QM features a thick quilted maple top on a mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio IBZ/USA pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG770 is a similar model without the exotic top and with sharktooth fretboard markers. The RG770FM is a related model with a flamed maple top and sharktooth markers. The RG7CTTL is a related model with a curly maple top, gold hardware and Tree of Life fretboard inlays.
Very little information is known about this model. It is believed to have been available only in Japan and only in limited quantities.
