The RG7527 is a seven string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2017. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high-end J Custom line.
The RG7527 features a AAA flamed maple top with natural binding on an American basswood body bolted to a maple and wenge neck with VelveTouch treatment and a 24-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard with abalone dot inlays only at the twelfth fret and luminescent side dots. Components include a pair of DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups with a mini-toggle coil split switch, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut, a tilted jack cavity and Gotoh tuning machines and strap locks.
For 2019 the Macassar ebony fretboard was replaced with Kalimantan ebony.
The RG7570 is a similar six string model with an added middle pickup.
The RG7527 was discontinued after 2020.
