The RG7421PB is a seven string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2014. It is produced in Indonesia.
The RG7421PB features a poplar burl top on a mahogany body with bolted to a maple Wizard II-7 neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a fixed bridge, a pair of direct-mounted Ibanez Quantum 7 humbucking pickups, and die-cast tuning machines.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with jatoba. For 2019 the mahogany body was replaced with meranti. For 2020 the bridge was replaced with the new F107. For 2024 a new mono-unit output jack with an integrated metal plate was introduced.
The RG7421 is similar model without the exotic top. The RG421PB is a similar six string model. The RG7421EX is a related model without the exotic top and with multi-binding on the body.
