The Ibanez RG7421 is a 7-string RG Series electric guitar model first introduced in 2000 as a replacement for the classic RG7621.
In 2002, Ibanez released a second version with the name RG7421XL (X=extended, L=Length), which was the same guitar but with a baritone scale (27 inches).
Featuring V7-7 and V8-7 pickups, Wizard neck and fixed bridge. It was considered part of the Prestige series. In 2003, the RG7421 was discontinued but returned in 2013, now made in Indonesia, featuring AH17 and the AH27 humbuckers.
