The RG7420Z is a seven string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2018. It was produced in Indonesia.
The RG7420Z features a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard II-7 neck with a 24-fret jatoba fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include an Edge Zero II-7 double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS tuning stabilizer and dual Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups.
For 2019 the mahogany body was replaced with meranti.
The RG7421 is a similar model with a fixed bridge. The RG420 is a somewhat similar six string model.
The RG7420Z was discontinued in 2020.
