The RG657MSK is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2016. It is produced in Japan by Fujigen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RG657MSK features a silky oak top with binding on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and walnut Super Wizard HP neck with a 24-fret birdseye maple fingerboard with binding and black dot position markers. Components included DiMarzio pickups in a humbucker/ single-coil/ humbucker arrangement mounted directly to the body, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
For 2018 the body species was specified as African mahogany.
The RG657AHM is a similar model with an ash body. The RG657PB is a related model with a poplar burl top and a rosewood fretboard. The RG657K is a related model with a basswood body with a koa top and a marbled rosewood fretboard. The RG655M is a related model with a basswood body and a pickguard.
The RG657MSK was discontinued after 2018.
