The RG655M is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2015. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line. This model can be considered a more-or-less direct descendant of the original 1987 RG550.
The RG655M features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut Super Wizard neck with a 24-fret maple fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include an Edge double locking tremolo bridge, DiMarzio pickups mounted in a black pickguard with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
A similar model with a rosewood fingerboard, the RG655, was introduced a year earlier.
The RG655M was discontinued after 2017 in favor of the re-launched RG550.
