The RG655L is a left-handed RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2016. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line. It is considered to be a more or less direct descendant of the iconic RG550.
The RG655L features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include an Edge double locking tremolo bridge, DiMarzio pickups mounted in a black pickguard with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil and Gotoh tuning machines.
A right-handed version, the RG655, was released in 2014.
The RG655L was originally offered only in Cobalt Blue Metallic; a Galaxy Black finish was added later. It was discontinued after 2017.
