The RG655 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2014. It was made in Japan by Fujigen as part of the upscale Prestige line. It is essentially similar to the iconic RG550, except that it has a rosewood fretboard.
The RG655 features a basswood body with a maple and walnut Super Wizard HP neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include an original Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut, pickguard-mounted DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil and Gotoh tuning machines.
A similar model with a maple fingerboard, the RG655M, was added in 2015. A left-handed version, the RG655L, was added in 2016.
The RG655 was discontinued after 2017 in favor of a new RG550.
