The RG652MQFXS is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2016. It was a spot model produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RG652MQFXS features a mahogany body with quilted maple top with white binding bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret birdseye maple fretboard with white binding and no inlays. Components include a Gibraltar Standard II hard-tail bridge, dual DiMarzio humbucking pickups and Gotoh locking tuning machines.
The RG652KFX & RG652MPBFX are similar except for the wood species used for the top and fingerboard. The RG652FX is similar but lacks the exotic top and fingerboard.
This guitar was a special run of 12 guitars developed for US retailer The Axe Palace[1] with input from the Ibanez: Buy, Sell, Trade group on Facebook. An additional six units were offered in Japan by Ikebe Gakki.[2] The RG652MQFXS was offered only in 2017.
