The RG652MPB is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2016. It is produced in Japan by Fujigen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RG652MPB features a poplar burl top on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret birdseye maple fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include an Edge double locking tremolo bridge, dual DiMarzio direct-mounted humbucking pickups and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG652MPBL is a left-handed version. The RG652MQM is a similar model with a quilted maple top. The RG652MPBFX is a related model with a fixed bridge. The RG652AHM is a related model with an ash body.
The RG652MPB was available only in Japan in 2016, but was offered in the US market starting in 2017. It was discontinued after 2018.
