The RG652FX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2014. It was made in Japan by Fujigen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RG652FX features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut Super Wizard HP neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a Gibraltar II fixed bridge, dual DiMarzio direct-mounted humbucking pickups, a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut and Gotoh locking tuning machines.
A seven-string version, the RG752FX, was released concurrently. A model with an Australian blackwood top, the RG652KFX was added in 2015 followed in 2016 by the RG652MPBFX with a poplar burl top and birdseye maple fingerboard and the RG652AHMFX with an ash body and maple fingerboard. Also introduced in 2015 were two versions with a tremolo bridge, the RG652K (Australian blackwood top) and RG652AHM (ash body and maple fingerboard). In 2017, the RG652LWFX was introduced, which has a limba wood top. The RG652EXFX is a similar model with DiMarzio/IBZ pickups a marbled rosewood fretboard without inlays.
