The RG652AHMFX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2016. It is made in Japan by Fujigen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RG652AHMFX features an ash body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret birdseye maple fingerboard with binding and black dot position markers. Components include a Gibraltar Standard II hard-tail bridge, dual DiMarzio humbucking pickups, a Teflon-impregnated Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut, and Gotoh locking tuning machines.
A new Royal Plum Burst finish was introduced for 2021.
The RG652AHMFL is a left-handed version. The RG652AHMFS is a similar spot model with different pickups and finishes. A similar model with a tremolo bridge, the RG652AHM, was introduced the prior year. Several other similar hard-tail models were also produced including the RG652KFX (Australian blackwood top and rosewood fingerboard), the RG652MPBFX (poplar burl top) and the RG652FX (no exotic top). Another similar model with a basswood body and a limba wood top, the RG652LWFX, was introduced for 2017.
