The RG652 is a Roadstar II series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1986. The Roadstar II series would eventually become known as the RG series.

Despite the RG name, the RG652 has the rounded-edge body style and swoopy, rounded headstock of the older Roadstar II style.

The RG652 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez IBZ humbucking pickups with Duo Sound coil split functionality and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge. For 1987, the Back Stop tremolo stabilizer was added and the combination of the Edge trem, Back Stop and Top-Lok III nut was marketed as the "Sure Bet Tuning System."

The RG531 is a similar model with a flame maple top.

The RG652 was offered only in Japan and was discontinued after 1987.
