The RG570DX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1989. It was originally part of the Roadstar II series, which evolved into the RG series. It was produced in Japan by Fujigen.
The RG570DX was a limited edition spot model which was offered in small numbers to select retailers. It is essentially an RG570 with a neck with sharktooth inlays similar to the RG770 which would be introduced in 1990.
The RG570DX features a basswood body bolted to a one-piece maple neck attached with a tilt joint with a metal plate. The Wizard neck has a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. The RG570DX has Ibanez V1 and V2 humbucking pickups flanking an Ibanez S1 single-coil which are mounted to the body with pickup rings. Other components include an original Edge double locking tremolo with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG570DX was offered only in 1989. As a spot model, it never appeared in a catalog and so details about its production and distribution are sparse. Based on anecdotal evidence it appears it was offered only in the US market.
