The RG527R is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez for 1995. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the 1995 Autumn Collection.

The special features of the RG527R are the reverse headstock, Wizard II neck profile and "reverse burst" finish; other than that it is similar to the RG570.

The RG527R has a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with V7 and V8 humbuckers mounted in pickup rings flanking an S1 single-coil and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut.

In 1996, a similar model featuring sharktooth inlays was offered as the RG527RLTD.
