The RG521 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2017. It is made in Japan by FujiGen.

The RG521 features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut Super Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez humbucking pickups direct mounted to the body, a Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge, a Graph Tech TUSQ nut and locking Gotoh tuning machines.

This model was introduced alongside reissues of the classic RG550 and RG570 as the Genesis collection. Like those throwback models, the RG521 has a tilt neck joint with a stamped metal plate rather than the sculpted All Access neck joint found on most modern RGs.

The RG521 was discontinued after 2018.
