The RG5170G is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2020. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RG5170G features a basswood body with silver pearloid binding bolted to a maple and wenge neck with a Macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 stainless steel frets, silver pearloid binding, offset mother of pearl dot position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include Fishman Fluence pickups with a pair of Modern Humbuckers with ceramic magnets flanking a single-width ceramic pickup, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG5170B is a similar model with black knobs and different finish. The RG5120M is a related model without the middle pickup and with a maple fretboard and cosmo black hardware.
