The RG480 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 1998. It was sold only in Japan.

The RG480 features a resoncast body bolted to a maple Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups, a locking nut and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge.

The RGR480 is a similar model with a reverse headstock. Other resoncast bodied RGs are the RG380DX and RG390GX.

The RG480 was supplanted for 1999 by the RG480AH, although that model is substantially different, with an ash body and a different bridge.
