The RG470L is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2000. This model marked the return to Japanese production of the model which was produced in South Korea the previous year. This version was made by FujiGen.

This iteration of the RG470L features a basswood body bolted to a maple Wizard II neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez Vintage pickups and a Lo TRS double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut.

Changes from the previous Korean-made model include the bridge and pickups. For 2003 the Lo-TRS bridge was replaced by the Edge Pro.

The RG470 is a right-handed version.

The RG470L was discontinued after 2004.
