The RG470L is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1994. It replaced the Japanese made RG470L from the previous year.

This iteration of the RG470L features a basswood body bolted to a maple Wizard II neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez Infinity pickups and a Lo TRS II double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut.

Changes from the previous year's Japanese-made model include the new All access neck joint (rather than a square heel joint with a metal plate), and different neck, bridge and pickups.

The RG470 is a right-handed version.

This model was discontinued after 1999 with production returning to Japan for the 2000 model.
