The RG470DX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2019. It was produced in Indonesia.
The RG470DX features a meranti body bolted to a maple Wizard III neck with a 24-fret jatoba fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include a standard double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Ibanez Quantum pickups with dual humbuckers mounted in pickup rings flanking a single-coil.
The RG470AHM is a similar model with an ash body, cosmo black hardware and dot fretboard inlays. The RG470MB is a similar model with a maple fretboard and dot fretboard inlays. The RG470MSP is a similar model with cosmo black hardware and dot fretboard inlays.
The RG470DX was offered only in the US market. This version was replaced for 2024 with a new model that retains the name with an Edge Zero II tremolo which is also sold in other markets.
