The RG450DX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1994. It is among the first South Korean-made RG models.
The RG450DX features a basswood body bolted to a maple Wizard II neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with triangle position markers (changed to sharktooth inlays in 1996). Components include a low-profile Floyd Rose-style double locking tremolo bridge, Ibanez Infinity pickups in an HSH configuration and a locking nut.
The triangle fretboard inlays of the 1994 & 1995 models are generally associated with the earlier Korean-made EX series. This is perhaps the only (or one of very few) RG models which have this type of inlay design.
The RG450DX was offered in three finishes, each with unique pickguards.
The RG470 is a similar model without the pickguard and with dot inlays.
The RG450DX was offered only in the USA market and was discontinued after 1997.
