The RG421EXL is a left-handed RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2021. It was produced in Indonesia.
The RG421EXL features a meranti body with multi-binding bolted to a maple Wizard III neck with a 24-fret jatoba fingerboard with binding and white dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups mounted in pickup rings, an F106 fixed bridge, and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
The RG421EX is a right-handed version.
This version of the RG421EXL was discontinued after 2023 and replaced for 2024 with a new version which has direct-mounted pickups and a different output jack.
