The RG421S is a similar model with a painted top with binding. The RG421EX is a similar model with white multi-binding on the top and a different finish. The RG421PB and RG421QM are similar models with, respectively, poplar burl and quilted maple tops. The RG421AHM is a related model with an ash body and maple fretboard. The RGRT421 is a related model with neck through body construction and a reverse headstock. The RG7421 is a seven string version.
