The RG420 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1998. It was made in Japan by FujiGen.

The RG420 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components include a Lo-TRS double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and a pair of Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickups.

The RG420 was discontinued after just one year in production.
