The RG40AH is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2018. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as a spot model to commemorate a 40-year partnership between Australis Music Group and Hoshino Gakki (1978-2018). The RG40AH was produced in a limited number of 40 units and was available exclusively in Australia.
The RG40AH features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a custom 40th Anniversary designed plate joint. The 24-fret fingerboard is birdseye maple with binding. It has no dots on fretboard with Luminescent side dot inlays ONLY. Components include Dimarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
This model comes fitted with a transparent pickguard installed. An alternate black pickguard is included in the matching custom Ruby Red leather case.
The RG40AH was limited to only 40 units and was available exclusively in Australia.
