The RG3XXV 25th Anniversary is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 2012. It was produced to mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the RG line and as a tribute to the original 1991 RG565.
The RG3XXV features a basswood body bolted to a maple Wizard III neck with a 24-fret maple fingerboard with color matched dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a D Activator humbucker mounted in a pickup ring at the bridge and a rails style Air Norton S single-coil sized humbucker direct mounted at the neck and an Edge II double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS tuning stabilizer.
Other twenty-fifth anniversary guitar models were the RG1XXV and the RG2XXV as well as the S1XXV. The RG1XXV differs from the others in that it was produced in the factory which produces the Premium series; the others were made alongside the standard Indonesian production. As such, the RG3XXV is as much a throwback to the RGR465M of a few years prior (which it resembles very closely, the only significant difference being the tremolo) or even to the Korean-made EX365 as it is to the original Japanese-made RG565.
