The RG3EXKA1 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2011. It was produced in Indonesia and was a spot model which was sold exclusively by the American retailers Guitar Center and Musician's Friend.
The RG3EXKA1 features a koa top with cream binding on a basswood body bolted to a maple Wizard III neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and sharktooth position markers. Components include dual, covered Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickups and a standard hard-tail bridge.
The sharktooth inlays on the fretboard are a heritage mark of the RG models, having been used by Ibanez since the inception of the RG in the late '80s.
The RG3EXFM1 is a similar model with a flamed maple top. The RG3EX1 is an earlier model with a quilted maple top.
