The RG3180 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as one of the first models in the Prestige line, after the RG3070 from the previous year and along with the RG3120.
The RG3180 features a flamed maple top with natural binding on a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and a "Prestige" plaque at the 24th fret. Components include DiMarzio pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG3120 is a related model without the middle single-coil pickup. The RG4080 is a similar model with a quilted maple top and different pickups. The RG3270 is a similar model which was offered a few years later in Japan only.
The RG3180 was discontinued after just one year.
