The RG2EX2 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2005. It was made in Indonesia and was sold exclusively by the American retail chain Guitar Center.
The RG2EX2 features a bound basswood body bolted to a maple Wizard II neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual humbucking pickups and a standard hard-tail bridge. It discontinued in 2007 but was reintroduced in 2010 with a new set of pickups.
The RG2EX1 is a similar model with a in different colors. A similar tremolo-equipped model was available in Japan as the IRG2.
