The RG270 is an RG series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2001. This model was produced in Japan concurrent to a similar model which was made in Korea.

This RG270 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components include a TRS505 single locking tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups with a pair of humbuckers mounted in pickup rings flanking a single-coil.

This Japanese-made version has a different bridge, nut, tuners and hardware color than the Korean-made version, but is otherwise similar.

The RG270DX is a similar model with sharktooth position markers.
