The RG270 is an RG series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 1994. This was the first model to carry the RG270 moniker, but several variations would follow through the years.

This RG270 features a basswood body bolted to a maple Wizard II neck with a 24-fret maple fingerboard with black dot position markers. Components include a single locking tremolo bridge and Ibanez Powersound pickups.

This version was offered only in the USA. A similar model with a rosewood fretboard was offered concurrently in Europe. The RG270L is a left-handed version. The RG270DX is a similar model with sharktooth fretboard inlays.
