The RG270DX is an RG series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in mid-1995. It was produced in South Korea.
The RG270DX features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include a single locking tremolo bridge and Ibanez Powersound pickups. For 2002 the SLT101 single-locking tremolo was replaced by a ILT1 double locking tremolo.
The RG270R and RG270 are similar models with dot position markers. The RGR270DX is a similar model with a reversed headstock.
The RG270DX was replaced for 2003 with the GRG270DX as part of the newly introduced, affordable GIO line.
