The RG2560MZEX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2012. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Prestige line. It was sold exclusively in Japan and produced in relatively small quantities.
The RG2560MZEX features an ash body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret maple fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio/IBZ pickups with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils in the neck and middle positions, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
The HSS pickup configuration is fairly unusual among RG series models.
The RG2560ZEX is a similar model with a rosewood fretboard. The RG2540MZ is a similar model with an alder body.
