The RG2550ZL features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with wedge (or ghost) sharktooth position markers. Components include DiMarzio/IBZ pickups mounted in a smoked mirror pickguard, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG2550Z is a right-handed version.
The RG2550ZL was discontinued after one year of production in 2009. It returned to the lineup in 2013 and was discontinued once more after 2014.
